I’m on my third front license plate on my Lincoln MKC. The other two where on a black background and both eventually chipped and started to peel. (I believe rock salt from winter driving is the cause, as both happened and became noticeable after snow storms.) The first plate I thought was an anomaly and I ordered the same one again. After the second one started to peel, I knew I needed a different/better one. I’ve now had this one about three months, and while the others ones lasted a little over a year, this one feels like it will hold up much better. This one is definitely heavier and more solid in comparison to the other two. The other two felt flimsy in comparison as well. I will update if any issues occur, but I feel this plate will hold up much better. This plate is at least two to three times as heavy, but of course it was almost double the price. If it holds up, the price will be worth it.
